First Aid Kit compare Jack White to Willy Wonka as they cover his song – listen

Swedish duo recorded a single at White's Third Man studio in 2011

First Aid Kit compared Jack White to Willy Wonka as they covered his song ‘Love Interruption’ on Australian radio.

The Swedish folk duo recorded a single at White’s Third Man studio in Nashville and spoke about their experience with the singer as they performed a session for Triple J’s Like A Version show yesterday (July 31).

Speaking about their time with White, Klara Söderberg said he approached them out of the blue and asked, “Do you wanna come to my studio and record a single with me tomorrow?” This led to the duo recording a cover Buffy Sainte-Marie’s ‘Universal Soldier’ in Nashville. “It was really weird… You can’t take photos in his studio, it’s very secretive.” First Aid Kit have supported Jack White on tour in the past.
