FKA Twigs announces biggest UK headline show to date

Singer will perform at London's Roundhouse in February 2015

FKA Twigs has announced that she will headline the Roundhouse in London on February 19 2015.

The singer, who recently starred in an innovative new video for Google Glass, will perform at the Camden venue next year in what will mark her biggest headline gig to date.

Prior to the February live show, FKA Twigs will learn whether or not she wins this year’s Mercury Prize, for which she is a nominee with her debut album ‘LP1’, released earlier this year. Yesterday it was reported that Kate Tempest is the new favourite to take home this year’s prize, which has been won by James Blake and Alt-J in recent years.

Tempest was previously second favourite to take the title home with her ‘Everybody Down’ title. However, she has now had her odds slashed to 5/2 by bookmakers William Hill and has overtaken FKA Twigs as the favourite to be given this year’s prize.

FKA Twigs recently labeled racist trolls “unacceptable” after being made a target of abuse for some fans of the actor Robert Pattinson, whom she has been romantically linked to in recent weeks.

The Mercury Prize-nominated singer, who released her debut album ‘LP1’ earlier this year, spoke out on Twitter after being sent abusive messages via the social network.
