Band also add extra London date
Tickets for Fleetwood Mac‘s short run of UK and Ireland dates are on sale from 9am today, with the band also announcing an extra date at London’s O2 Arena.
Fleetwood Mac will now play The O2 on September 25 in addition to the previously announced date of September 24 due to huge demand for the shows. Tickets for Fleetwood Mac‘s UK and Ireland sting went onsale this morning (February 8) priced between £50 and £140.
Speaking about UK tour dates, drummer Mick Fleetwood recently said: “We’re doing a big world tour that starts in April. We’re coming here [the UK] in September, October and maybe a bit longer. We’re doing a lot of work here so we are coming.” The drummer also revealed that there is a new Fleetwood Mac album in the pipeline and that new songs will be released online in the coming months.
The band were rumored to be making their debut appearance on the Pyramid Stage at this years’ Glastonbury Festival, however a string of US dates announced over the same weekend makes this seem unlikely.
Fleetwood Mac will play:
Dublin 02 (September 20)
London O2 Arena (24, 25)
Birmingham LG Arena (29)
Manchester Arena (October 1)
Glasgow The Hydro (3)
Also on sale today is the sole UK date from the reunited Fall Out Boy, due to take place at Camden’s Underworld on February 25. The band recently revealed they will release a new album, titled ‘Save Rock And Roll’, in May.
Tours by La Roux, Palma Violets, The Postal Service and Vampire Weekend are also on sale today.
