Florence Welch & co. play hit-laden set on 4Music Stage
Frontwoman Florence Welch paid tribute to the rapper before playing ‘You’ve Got The Love’, the track she performed with her pal at this year’s Brit Awards and then Glastonbury.
“I’d like to dedicate this next one to a friend of mine, he’s here but he’s not performing,” she explained beforehand. “Wherever he is, Dizzee [Rascal] this one is for you.”
The band performed what they referred to as “a new song” midway into the set.
“Hope you’re having a good time, right now we’re going to play you a brand new song: ‘Heavy In Your Arms’,” the singer informed the crowd. Despite being described as new, the track features on the ‘Twilight: Eclipse’ soundtrack, which was released in June.
After joining in on the keyboards for an extended rocky intro for ‘Kiss With A Fist’, Welch introduced her band individually before wrapped the set up with ‘Dog Days Are Over’, getting the large crowd to leap in the air midway through the song.
Florence And The Machine played:
‘My Boy Builds Coffins’
‘Heavy In Your Arms’
‘You’ve Got The Love’
‘Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up)’
‘Kiss With A Fist’
‘Dog Days Are Over’
