John Peel Stage falls under Ms Welch's spell

Florence And The Machine played to a rapturous Glastonbury crowd this evening (June 27).

The collective, led by singer Florence Welch, drew one of the biggest crowds of the weekend so far on the John Peel Stage, playing songs from her newly-released debut album ‘Lungs’.

The show finished with a cover of Candi Staton‘s club classic ‘You Got The Love’ at almost the same time as Kasabian were playing their version of the same track on the Pyramid Stage.
