Razorlight co-write ‘unlikely’ to feature on Florence And The Machine album

'Old' collaboration with Johnny Borrell replaced by new songs

The track Razorlight‘s Johnny Borrell wrote with Florence And The Machine is unlikely to feature on the singer’s debut album, NME.COM understands.

The Razorlight man recently revealed he had written a song with Florence Welch, and even played a track during a recent radio appearance.

However sources close to the band have told NME.COM, though although grateful for his help, the singer’s album has evolved further and those early compositions will not feature.

“They worked together 18 months ago and Florence really enjoyed the experience,” an insider explained. “However, nothing really came of it. So it’s very unlikely that the track will make the album.”

Florence And The Machine, meanwhile, is set to hit the road on the Shockwaves NME Awards Tour with Glasvegas, White Lies and Friendly Fires later this month, calling at:
