Florence + The Machine beat Wolf Alice to Number One in Albums Chart after Glastonbury sales boost

Tinie Tempah also scores his sixth Number One in UK Singles Chart

Florence And The Machine have pipped Wolf Alice to the UK Albums Chart top spot following Florence Welch and co’s headline appearance at Glastonbury Festival on Friday night (June 26).

Welch released her third album ‘How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful’ in May. Having spent last week at Number Two, the record has now returned to the Number One position in its fourth week in the chart.

Wolf Alice’s debut album ‘My Love Is Cool’, meanwhile, debuts at Number Two, having sold just 528 copies fewer than Welch. The north London band also played Glastonbury Festival over the weekend.

Last week’s Number One, Muse, have dropped down to third place, while Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran complete the Top Five.

Other new entries this week include Everything Everything (Number Seven), Leon Bridges (Number Eight) and Mika (Number 19)

In the UK Singles Chart, Tinie Tempah scored his sixth Number One single with ‘Not Letting Go’, ft Jess Glynne.

Belgian producer Lost Frequencies has climbed 44 places to Number Two with ‘Are You With Me’, while Jason Derulo‘s four week stay at top spot has been broken, with ‘Want To Want Me’ dropping to Number Three.
