The singer embarks on an arena tour of the UK next month
Florence And The Machine have unveiled the video for their new single, ‘Lover To Lover’.
The promo, which was directed by Vincent Haycock, was shot in Los Angeles on the Machine’s recent tour of North America, during which they played two nights at the iconic Hollywood Bowl.
Florence Welch stars alongside actor Ben Mendelsohn, the pair portraying a couple breaking-up. Welch sets fire to Mendelsohn’s possessions in the emotionally charged video, which you can watch by clicking above.
Welch recently said that she needs to take a break from the music industry before starting work on her next album – and wants to use her time off to write a musical.
Speaking to the Evening Standard, the ‘Ceremonials’ singer also said:
She said: “I’ve been on tour since I was 21. I need a break and to have the chance to do normal things, like go to the supermarket and hang out with my friends.”
Florence And The Machine set out on a UK and Ireland arena tour next month. The tour begins at Exeter Westpoint Arena on December 4 and runs until December 12, when the band play Dublin O2 Arena. The trek also includes gigs at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena, Liverpool Echo Arena and Aberdeen’s AECC.
