Oxford band want to bring ex-Genesis man out of retirement
Foals have said they want to bring Phil Collins out of retirement to work with them.
Collins, who has suffered nerve damage, hearing problems and back pain, called time on his 40-year career in March.
However, frontman Yannis Philippakis has declared that the five-piece will help Collins get over his ailments.
We love Phil Collins – we’ll help him drum again. We’re taking some time off after the festival season and then will come up with new music. The record company probably think they’re putting pressure on us but they’re not.
In the clip, Philippakis and guitarist Jimmy Smith reveal that their on tour drinking has left the band with a collective “liver failure”.
The band are set to start work on the follow-up to their second album ‘Total Life Forever’ later this year.
