Band will return to the UK in April for a big London show

Foster The People have announced their biggest UK headline show to date.

The Los Angeles five piece, who released their debut album ‘Torches’ on June 27 this summer, will play their largest UK gig so far at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on April 27 next year.

Foster The People have previously said that they find the frequent comparisons made between them and MGMT to be “flattering”.

Speaking to NME earlier this summer, the band said that they think it’s an easy comparison to make, as there are so few bands doing what they’re doing.

Singer Mark Foster said: “It’s flattering to be compared to MGMT, they’re a great band, but I think our influences are from earlier eras. The thing is, there’s just a small amount of music that sounds like what we’re doing, so it’s an easy comparison.”
