Four Tet streams new album ‘Morning/Evening’ – listen

Album doesn't get its official release until July 10

Four Tet has posted his forthcoming album ‘Morning/Evening’ to Bandcamp.

The LP’s physical release isn’t until July 10, but the British producer – real name Kieran Hebden – has decided to unveil it early, breaking the news via Twitter today (June 21). Click below to listen.

‘Morning/Evening’ consists of just two tracks, each approximately 20 minutes in length. According to its Bandcamp notes, the album was produced between August 2014 and February 2015 “on a laptop computer using the Ableton Live software to control and mix VST synthesizers and manipulations of found audio recordings”.

It’s Hebden’s eighth studio effort as Four Tet, following on from ‘Beautiful Rewind’, which was released in October 2013. Since then he has contributed production to albums by Omar Souleyman and Neneh Cherry, while remixing the likes of Coldplay.

In April, Hebden played a surprise set at London’s Phonica record shop for this year’s Record Store Day.
