'Channel Orange' singer will perform at Brixton Academy in July

Frank Ocean has announced details of a one-off London show to take place this July.

The singer, who released the critically acclaimed album ‘Channel Orange’ in 2012, will headline Brixton Academy on July 9. The date marks Ocean’s biggest European show to date and his first London gig since he performed at east London venue XOYO in 2011. Following the Brixton show Frank Ocean will perform at the Wireless Festival in London alongside headliner Justin Timberlake. The festival takes place between July 12-14 at London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Tickets for Frank Ocean at Brixton Academy go on sale this Friday (April 5).

Meanwhile, Tyler, The Creator has revealed that Justin Bieber rejected a song which he had written for him with Ocean. The pair wrote a track for Bieber’s ‘Believe’ album, but the teenage singer turned the track down. “I’ve got so many beats and songs, but no one’s giving me a chance yet,” he said. “I want to take Justin Bieber for a month and just lock him up in a cage where we sit and make music. He’s one of the most successful people in the world, but his music could be so much tighter.”

Frank Ocean, Tyler, The Creator and Earl Sweatshirt will all be playing this summer’s T In The Park in Balado, Kinross between July 12-14.
