Solo singer will play seven dates in February next year
Frank Turner has announced details of a 2014 arena tour.
The singer-songwriter will perform seven huge gigs in February, starting in Cardiff on February 6 and ending in Portsmouth on February 13. Gigs in Nottingham, Edinburgh, Manchester, Plymouth and London will all take place inbetween. Tickets for all dates go on sale at 9am on Friday, August 30.
Frank Turner paid tribute to Kurt Cobain at Reading Festival on Saturday (August 24) when he arrived on stage in a wheelchair. The nod to Nirvana’s frontman, who did the same at Reading in 1992, came after Turner was told by doctors his recently sustained back injury would stop him playing at the festival.
Responding to criticism he received online for the stunt, which some believed to be insensitive, Turner said: “It was a bit of fun, but predictably the professionally offended on Twitter got professionally offended. I’ve got better things to do with my time than respond to that.”
Frank Turner will play:
Cardiff, Motorpoint Arena (February 6)
Nottingham, Capital FM Arena (7)
Edinburgh, Corn Exchange (8)
Manchester, Phones 4u Arena (9)
Plymouth, Pavilions (11)
London, The O2 (12)
Portsmouth, Guildhall (13)
