They'll play October 8 in Williamsburg

Franz Ferdinand have announced a special intimate show, set to take place in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on October 8.

The show, which will take place at the Music Hall Of Wiliamsburg, will be a hometown one of sorts for frontman Alex Kapranos, who relocated to Brooklyn last year.

The band recently finished work on the follow-up to 2005’s ‘You Could Have It So Much Better’, working on the album with producer Dan Carey in Glasgow.

As previously reported, Kapranos described the album as more dancefloor friendly than its predecessor.

“The last record was fast, furious, frantic, 150 beats per minute,” Kapranos told BBC News. “It was like a teenager having sex. This one’s a bit more assured and a bit friendlier for the dancefloor. It’s about 104/105bpm.”

Tickets for the show at Music Hall Of Williamsburg are currently on sale.
