Franz Ferdinand unveil gruesome video from ‘Blurred Lines’ director – watch

The band have also announced details of a March 2014 UK tour

Franz Ferdinand have unveiled the gruesome video for their new single ‘Evil Eye’ – watch it above.

The track is the latest to be taken from the band’s fourth album ‘Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action’, which was released on August 26. The video takes its inspiration from old horror films and is, according to Alex Kapranos, “a gruesome blood orgy eye stab death romp wide-oh creep necro fest, play this on the telly if you dare you fuckers.”

It was directed by Diane Martel, the woman behind Robin Thicke’s controversial ‘Blurred Lines’ promo. “This is a creepy nasty video for my dear friends and my favourite band. I’m proud to be part of this brilliant album’s visuals!” she said in a statement.
