Franz Ferdinand consider one-off single

The band may release ’Turn It On’…

Franz Ferdinand are considering releasing a one-off single.

Despite having just finished their second album ‘You Can Have It So Much Better…With Franz Ferdinand’, the band have told NME.COM that they’re considering releasing a track that doesn’t appear on the LP.

Several songs didn’t make the final cut for the LP, but the band are so proud of new track ‘Turn It On’ they want to released it.

Alex Kapranos told NME.COM: ““We seem to be collecting a big pile of these songs that we really like but don’t quite get together but we were talking about doing them as singles in their own right.”

He added: “Maybe ‘Can’t Stop Feeling’ and ‘Turn It On’ we’ll just release as singles. It’s a thing The Beatles used to do which I really loved, the idea of releasing something as a single completely on its own. That really appeals to me. The idea that you’ve got the balls to say ‘I like this song enough just to stick it out by itself with nothing else attached to it.’”
