Mark Ronson and Friendly Fires added to Edinburgh’s Hogmanay event

Primal Scream and Bombay Bicycle Club are also on the bill

Mark Ronson and Friendly Fires have been added to the bill for the New Year’s Eve Hogmanay concert in Edinburgh at the end of this year.

Primal Scream will headline the December 31 event, playing their 1991 album ‘Screamadelica’ in full for the last time, as well as a host of their greatest hits. You can watch a video of the band’s frontman Bobby Gillespie talking about playing the album live by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking.

As well as Ronson and Friendly Fires, Bombay Bicycle Club will also play a set at the December 31 event.

Steve Cardownie, organizer of the event, said of the bookings: “Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Street Party is the place to be to bring in the New Year. This year partygoers will be dazzled by a truly sensational line-up of bands and artists on more stages than ever before.”

Friendly Fires play their biggest UK tour to date next month, playing 12 dates in support of their second album ‘Pala’, which they released earlier this year.
