Frontman says he doesn't want to tour any more
Fucked Up singer Damian Abraham has hinted he’s set to quit the Canadian punk band.
The frontman told Spinner.com he no longer wants to go on tour and leave his wife and young son behind – and is going to take a “long break” to mull things over.
However, Abraham also said he’s conscious that he doesn’t want to take away the “livelihoods” of his bandmates by leaving the group.
I can’t tour anymore. I don’t want to take that away from them [his bandmates], so I would love to find a way to basically make it into a constantly evolving thing where sometimes Fucked Up can go on tour and other times, it’s another band involved with us.
Abraham continued: “I have no idea how it’s all going to work out. I know we’re going to take this long break and hopefully we can think about it and figure it out a little more.”
Fucked Up‘s last album was ‘David Comes To Life’, a rock opera released in June.
