FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND PULL OUT OF LIVERPOOL NME AWARDS SHOW

The band miss a second date on the tour due to singer Matt Davies' illness - but the rest of the band will be there...

Funeral For A Friend have been forced to cancel a second date on the NME AWARDS TOUR due to illness, but have already started rescheduling the affected dates..

The headliners had to pull out of last night’s (January 29) show in Sheffield when singer Matt Davies was struck down with Flu. It was hoped that he would be well enough to play tonight at Liverpool University, but Matt was given doctor’s orders this morning to rest for another night. Matt and the band hope that he will be recovered in time for tomorrow night’s show at Manchester Academy.

However, the band have been quick to reschedule the Sheffield date, and will now play the Leadmill on Monday February 9. A new Liverpool date is expected to be announced in the coming days.

Tonight’s show, meanwhile, will go ahead with Rapture, Von Bondies and Franz Ferdinand, and the other members of Funeral For A Friend will be at the show to meet and greet fans. The band are also planning to reschedule both of the dates on their next tour later in the year.

Refunds are available at the point of purchase, but must be claimed before entering the venue.
