Welsh trio react to new album leak
Future Of The Left are offering their album to fans as an official download following it leaking online.
‘Travels With Myself And Another’, the Welsh trio’s second album, was due for release on June 22, but leaked at the end of April.
To counter illegal downloaders, the trio are offering those who pre-order the album a unique code allowing them to download an mp3 version of the album immediately, then a physical copy a week prior to release.
The offer is available from the band’s official website, Futureoftheleft.com.
“How far, I wonder, does this entitlement to free music go?” he wrote. “My guitars, should they be free? Petrol to get us to shows? Perhaps I should come to an agreement with my landlord, through the musician-rent-waiver programme. Perhaps he should pay me, for his ninth-division indie-cred through association.”
Meanwhile, the band’s UK tour continues on the following dates:
Hereford Jailhouse (May 20)
Manchester Academy 3 (21)
Bristol Dot To Dot Festival (23)
Nottingham Dot To Dot Festival (24)
Cardiff Clwb Ifor Bach (25)
London ULU (26)
