Watford punk's third LP is officially released on Monday (September 10)
Gallows are streaming their new self-titled album exclusively on NME.COM ahead its release on Monday (September 10). Scroll down to the bottom of the page to listen to the record.
‘Gallows’ is the band’s first effort with former Alexisonfire man Wade MacNeil as their singer. MacNeil replaced former frontman Frank Carter in July 2011, with Carter having since gone on to form new band Pure Love.
The album has been produced, mixed and mastered by Spycatcher members Thomas Mitchener and Steve Sears at Watford’s Broadfields Studio. It will be released on the band’s own label Venn Records in partnership with [PIAS] Recordings.
Speaking about the album, the band said: “We made this record self-titled as it musically defines the band known as Gallows as we exist today. This is the first of many releases to come from the house of Venn Records, our imprint, hijacked from PIAS those long standing backers of independent rock n roll.”
They continued: “This our statement of intent, our laugh in the face of those who said Gallows were done when in reality we’re just warming up. We couldn’t feel more vindicated and proud.”
The tracklisting for ‘Gallows’ is as follows:
‘Everybody Loves You (When You’re Dead)’
‘Vapid Adolescent Blues’
‘Cult Of Mary’
‘Cross Of Lorraine’
The band will tour the UK in October, playing a total of 15 shows across the country.
