GEORGE GOES FOR OLYMPIC GOLD

Let's hope it's not as controversial as his current single...

Under-fire superstar George Michael is considering a request from the ATHENS OLYMPIC COMMITTEE to write a theme tune to the 2004 Games.

Michael, though born in London, is of Greek heritage. His real name is Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou. It is unclear when he will come to a decision about the track.

A spokesperson for the singer confirmed today that: “A request was made by the Athens Olympic Committee to write the theme song for the 2004 games.”
