Nicola Roberts confirms second single ‘Lucky Day’

Girls Aloud star also thanks NME for our support

Nicola Roberts has confirmed details of her second solo single.

The Girls Aloud star, who scored rave reviews with her debut ‘Beat Of My Drum’, will next release
‘Lucky Day’, available for download on September 18. The track was produced by Canadian alt.pop band Dragonette.

Roberts said of the track: “Dragonette were the first people I worked with when starting my album, according to Digitalspy.co.uk. “When I wrote ‘Lucky Day’ I had short hair and was really into ’40s fashion. All of the ‘woah woah woah woah’ and the ‘ah ha’ really is a reflection of that.”

She continued: “When it came to producing the track earlier this year, I wanted to change it to a more modern downbeat dance record because that’s what I am more into now.”

Meanwhile, Roberts recently declared her appreciation to NME for getting behind ‘Beat Of My Drum’, saying:

I haven’t had one bad review of that song… for NME to come on board and support me like that is amazing.

The singer’s album ‘Cinderella’s Eyes’ is released on September 26.
