Girls Aloud to ‘record new album in 2012’

Reports claim the girl group will work on new material for their 10th anniversary

Girls Aloud are reportedly set to return to the studio in January 2012.

According to the Daily Mirror all five members will get to work on new material for what will be their 10th anniversary as a band.

The move comes after Nadine Coyle apparently buried the hatchet with Cheryl Cole, after she was recently ousted from The X Factor USA.

“All is forgiven between Nadine and the rest of the band. It’s all water under the bridge,” a source told the tabloid.

“They’re excited they’re going to be making a fresh start together on this next adventure of their lives,” the source continued. “In six months time it’ll be back to work as normal – they are itching to get back in the studio.”

The band’s last studio album, ‘Out Of Control’, was released in 2008.

Earlier this year, the group’s manager Hilary Shaw revealed plans to mark the decade since they were put together on ITV talent show Popstars: The Rivals with a live comeback.
