Comic Relief fundraising plan over as pop stars complete task

Girls Aloud‘s Cheryl Cole and Kimberly Walsh, Take That‘s Gary Barlow, Alesha Dixon and Ronan Keating are among the famous faces who have successfully scaled Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of Comic Relief.

As well as those five music stars TV presenters Fearne Cotton and Ben Shephard, radio DJ Chris Moyles and Denise Van Outen successfully climbed the mountain in Tanzania.

The group have raised around £1.4 million by undertaking the charity challenge.

They didn’t find it easy, however, with Cole in particular having a tough time during the task. According to the party’s blog at Comicrelief.com, “Cheryl for one has already said she’s never done anything so mentally and physically demanding and I doubt anyone in the team will disagree.”
