The weather down on Worthy Farm
There are just six days to go until the Glastonbury festival 2009 kicks off – and the weather reports are looking good.
According to weather prediction service Metcheck.com on Thursday (June 26), when there is a small programme of music, 3mm of rain is expected to fall after lunch and in the afternoon. The rest of the day will be sunny but cloudy. Temperatures will reach a high of 22 degrees Celcius.
On the Friday (June 26) of the bash, when it kicks off in earnest, sunny yet cloudy conditions are expected. Temperatures should peak at 23 degrees Celcius, but this should feel like 25 degrees Celcius because of wind speed and humidity.
The Saturday (June 27) of the festival should be sunny with and the temperature is expected to reach a maximum of 20 degrees Celcius.
The final day of the festival (Sunday June 28) should be much the same temperature, with a top temperature of 20 degrees Celcius predicted in the late afternoon, and with slightly cloudy conditions around lunchtime.
