Glastonbury 2008: Five-hour delays expected as fire breaks out nearby

A number of roads have been closed in the area

Glastonbury festival-goers have been warned to expect five-hour delays travelling to the festival today (June 26), due to a fire that has broken out near the site.

The blaze is located in a scrapyard a mile from the festival site and clouds of smoke are reportedly visible from the site.

According to the BBC, firefighters have closed major roads into the area, including the A37.

The majority of festival-goers are set to travel to the Somerset site today.
