Bob Dylan’s ‘Make You Feel My Love’ used in Glee tribute to Cory Monteith

The actor died of a drug overdose in July (2013)

Bob Dylan‘s ‘Make You Feel My Love’ was used in an episode of TV show Glee to pay tribute to cast member Cory Monteith, who died of a drug overdose in July this year (2013) – watch footage of it below.

Set three weeks after his character Finn Hudson’s funeral, the show, which follows a group of American high school students who form a singing club, made no mention of his cause of death, but was instead centred around how his friends coped with the loss.

The final scene showed Monteith’s real-life fiancée, and onscreen girlfriend, Lea Michele, perform ‘Make You Feel My Love’. The track was originally recorded by Dylan for his 1997 album ‘Time Out Of Mind’. It was subsequently covered by Adele.

Monteith died of a fatal cocktail of heroin and alcohol, a coroner ruled earlier this month (October 3). The 31-year-old actor in the musical TV show was found dead in a hotel room in Vancouver on July 13 (2013). Investigators at the scene found “a spoon with drug residue and a used hypodermic needle, along with two empty champagne bottles and multiple glasses”.
