GORKY’S ‘POODLE’ ROCK OUT!

Euros Childs and his jaunty troubadors announce special UK tour to promote new single...

Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci have lined up five special shows for next month to coincide with the release of new single ‘POODLE ROCKIN” on February 21.

The Mynci 2000 Tour will see the band play two sets with no support act. The first set will be entirely acoustic featuring both old and new Gorky’s songs which they have never before performed live.

Between sets there will be a special guest DJ, after which the group will play a full electric set.

The group will also be giving away a free programme explainingthe background to the songs that they perform.

Meanwhile, new single ‘Poodle Rockin” is the second song from the band’s current album ‘Spanish Dance Troupe’ and features two new recordings as b-sides – ‘Flu Music’ and ‘The Girl I’ve Always Known’.

Gorky’s are hoping the tour goes without mishap. The band had to pull out of the NME Premier Show on January 25 at the London WC1 Astoria because guitarist Richard James couldn’t get a flight back from his holiday in Thailand in time.

Mo-Ho-Bish-O-Pi have replaced them on the bill, which also features The Beta Band and Sigur Ros.

The full tour dates for Mynci 2000 are Edinburgh Attic (February 21), Nottingham Heavenly Social (22), Colchester Arts Centre (23), Hove Old Market Theatre (24), LondonConway Hall (25).
