This is despite the singer telling NME that he's 'a bit sick' of his mega-hit

Gotye is to release an entire album comprised solely of remixes of his massive-selling single ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’.

The track, which is the UK’s biggest selling single of 2012, has been covered numerous times, most famously by Fun, Paramore‘s Hayley Williams and the cast of Glee.

Now the singer has decided to well and truly cash in and has roped in the likes of Tiesto, Bibio and Adrock for a remix album, which will be released on June 8 as a digital download.

This all comes despite Gotye admitting to NME earlier this year that he sometimes gets sick of ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ (which you can see the video for by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking).

He said at the time: “Sometimes I feel like I’m a bit sick of it. My inbox, on any given day, has at least five covers or parodies or remixes of it and there’s only so many times you can listen to the one song.”

He continued: “I like the fact that people are still discovering it and I don’t feel like it’s a noose around my neck. But at the same time, I do wonder how many times you can listen to the same piece of music. I can’t think of any song that’s ever been picked up like this and I do feel like saying to people sometimes, ‘Come on guys, there are other songs out there’.”
