The guitarist pays tribute to Paul Weller at intimate show

Graham Coxon covered The Jam last night (October 4) at a rare intimate gig.

Playing to a small invited crowd at the 100 Club in London, the guitarist thrilled the crowd with ’All Mod Cons’ by Paul Weller‘s old band.

The hour and a half set, which mainly featured tracks from the former Blur man’s album ‘Happiness In Magazines’, also saw Coxon include a five-minute ‘fag break’ at the end of the set before returning to play ’Freakin’ Out’ and the Jam cover.

Earlier the crowd had witnessed a typically energetic set from newcomers The On-Offs.

Coxon is now set to release a new single on October 23.

The double A-side release will feature new songs ’Bloody Annoying’ and ’What Ya Gonna Do Now?’, which he recorded last month. They are the first recordings to feature the guitarist’s full band.
