The first live performers at the Grammys 2018 have been announced

The awards ceremony will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City on January 28

The first set of live performers at the Grammys 2018 have been announced, with Childish Gambino and Lady Gaga the headline names at this stage.

The annual music awards ceremony will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City on January 28, with the full set of nominations for this year’s awards announced back in November.

As preparations continue for the Grammys 2018, the first set of live performers on the night have been announced by organisers. Childish Gambino – the music moniker of actor, director and writer Donald Glover – will fulfil a rare live engagement with his performance, with the artist last performing live at the Governors Ball festival in New York back in June.

Glover is up for five awards on the night, including Album of the Year for his 2016 LP ‘”Awaken, My Love!”‘.

Joining Gambino as a performer on the night will be Lady Gaga, who has been nominated for Best Solo Pop Performance for her track ‘Million Reasons’.

P!nk and Little Big Town will also perform at the Grammys 2018, with more live acts set to be announced in the coming weeks.

Back in June, Glover elaborated more on his decision to retire Childish Gambino – with the artist due to release just one more album under the moniker in the years to come.
