Green Day knock Bob Dylan off album top spot

'21st Century Breakdown' debuts at top of the chart

Green Day knocked Bob Dylan off the top of the UK albums chart today (May 17), going straight in at Number One with their new effort ’21st Century Breakdown’.

Dylan‘s album ‘Together Through Life’ slipped to the Number Eight spot, with Green Day‘s album clocking enough sales since its release on Friday (May 15) to bag the top spot ahead of rivals including Maximo Park and Lily Allen.

In the singles stakes Black Eyed Peas went straight in at Number One with their comeback single ‘Boom Boom Pow’.
