Grimes joins forces with Kreayshawn, Blood Diamonds and Tragik – watch

Supergroup's track 'Don't Smoke My Blunt Bitch' has surfaced online

Grimes has teamed up with Kreayshawn, Blood Diamonds and Tragik for a new track which has surfaced online.

The song – ‘Don’t Smoke My Blunt Bitch’ – was recorded in 10 minutes and the accompanying video, which you can watch below, was made in an hour, according to Tragik’s YouTube page.

The electro rap track is built around the refrain “I be that grimy motherfucker” and was posted under the collective’s moniker L$D. It’s unclear whether there will be further material from the collective in the future.

Earlier this year, the singer teamed up with Montreal-based jeweller and sculptor Morgan Black to create her own range of ‘Grimes Pussy Rings’.

She also recently told NME that pop music is in ruder health than ever. “The fact that you have Jamie xx producing for Drake – pop music’s going in some really distinct directions right now. People don’t necessarily give it credit because it has the machine behind it.

“But I think that good art is good art and it doesn’t matter how much money has been thrown at it,” she said.

Grimes is set to appear at this year’s Reading and Leeds Festivals before embarking on a series of tour dates.

She will play:

Glasgow The Arches (August 29)
Manchester Sound Control (30)
London Heaven (September 5, 6)
