Grimes says Elon Musk didn’t stop his Tesla workers from unionizing, calls it “fake news”

The artist took to Twitter to defend Musk's labour practices

Grimes has come to the defense of Elon Musk, claiming that those saying he prevented his Tesla workers from unionizing is “quite literally fake news”.

Having made headlines recently attending the Met Gala with new partner, SpaceX CEO/Tesla co-founder Elon Musk, Grimes has now defended her boyfriend after fans tweeted their concerns.

“He has never prevented them from unionizing,” she wrote in a series of now deleted tweets. “It’s quite literally fake news. Trust me, I’ve investigated this heavily and even visited factories etc.

“i can respect a capitalist when they throw the phuck down on creating cheaper safer public transit, taking humans 2 space, movin the world into clean energy, fightin for ubi etc. humans w differing views on economics often hang out,” she continued.

“either way,, these aren’t my problems oi. grimes answers questions and complaints abt grimes, not third partieZ. i gotta work. peace,” she added.

She later told fans that she will be addressing the “drama” in a Ask Me Anything once her new album is finished. “that said i respect the fan concern!! there’s a lot of drama going on and a lot of opinions, def down to srsly hash out all the drama in ama form when i drop new music,” she wrote.

Earlier this week, she also revealed that she’ll be legally changing her name to ‘c‘, denoting the speed of light.
