Earlier today ex-Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum revealed he may team up with Slash to perform with Donovan at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction. With a Guns N’ Roses reunion highly unlikely, the sticksman has offered his services to the singer-songwriter at the ceremony.

He told VH1 Radio Network: “I might play drums with Donovan because I played with him one time before, and ‘Hurdy Gurdy Man’ was a song he recorded that John Bonham played drums on and Jimmy Page was the guitar player. I offered Donovan that me and Slash could play that maybe, but I haven’t heard back if he wants us to do it or not.”

Sorum also said that original Guns N’ Roses guitarist Izzy Stradlin has pulled out of the ceremony. When asked about this he said: “Slash’s answer to me was that he spoke to Izzy, and Izzy wasn’t planning on coming. So I think that was like, if Izzy’s not going to come and it’s not all the original guys, then it doesn’t make sense.”

His comments come after Slash said he believes Axl Rose “hates his guts” and the original line-up won’t be playing.
