Axl Rose performs from a throne as he plays with a broken foot in Vegas – watch

GnR's return sees Axl channel Dave Grohl in sin city

Guns N’ Roses have played their second ‘classic line-up’ reunion show, performing in Las Vegas, with Axl Rose playing from a throne after breaking his foot earlier this week.

Rose reportedly broke his foot during the band’s return performance in Los Angeles on April Fool’s Day, and Guns N’ Roses have since posted footage of a doctor explaining the operation that has been carried out on the frontman. He is expected to be in a cast and able to put only limited weight on the foot for at least four weeks.

Blabbermouth is reporting that Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl – who broke his leg during a show in Sweden, went to hospital, and then returned to finish the show – has lent Rose the throne he used for the tour.

Rose reportedly said during the show “I wanna thank Dave Grohl for this; it was very nice of him. I’ve got nothing to do with this.”

The full line-up for the Vegas show was Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan, Dizzy Reed, Richard Fortus, Frank Ferrer and keyboardist Melissa Reese.

Seattle act Alice In Chains supported Guns at the Vegas date, while recently the band’s former publicist, Arlett Vereecke, told Classic Rock that guitarist Slash has been working on new Guns N’ Roses material.

“I know they’re doing some recording,” Vereecke reportedly said. “They’re definitely doing something there in the studio. Axl hasn’t been there, but Slash is definitely in there and it’s not for anyone else.”
