Trio reveal their own tales of being harassed on stage while performing live
Beyonce was performing ‘Irreplacable’ in Copenhagen on Monday (May 27) when the man tapped the singer on the backside as she walked past. Taking the move in jest, Beyonce said: “I’ll have you escorted out for that.” The man is not believed to have been asked to leave the show.
However, speaking to NME Este from Haim said: “We just heard about how Beyoncé did a show and some guy slapped her ass? Who has the balls? I feel like Beyoncé has a forcefield around her. What a dick.” Her sister Alana later added: “If anyone slapped Este’s ass… dead man walking. Someone said something at our show in Glasgow and I don’t know what they said but the crowd started booing. Este was like, ‘What did you say?’ And there was no response. So she said, ‘That’s what I thought’. And the crowd were like, ‘Yeah! Girl power’.”
Haim will support Beyoncé at the Chime For Change Live gig in Twickenham on June 1 after a London date at KOKO on Thursday (May 30). Chime For Change will see Beyoncé headline a bill which also includes Florence + The Machine, Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora, Timbaland, John Legend, Iggy Azalea and Laura Pausini.
Haim will also play Mumford & Sons‘ Olympic Park show on July 6, as well as performing at Glastonbury and T In The Park festivals.
