Madchester legends head to Brighton Pier

Happy Mondays are set to play a fish and chip shop on Brighton pier just prior to their UK comeback tour.

The band will play a intimate gig in the unusual place as part of the T-Mobile street gigs season.

Frontman Shaun Ryder said: “I love Brighton. Like us it’s sleazy and mucky and cool and funky…It’s the first time we’ll have played the new stuff. Anyone who doesn’t like ‘em will be chucked into the sea.”
