Hard-Fi and Kaiser Chiefs sit down for housing charity

A host of bands to appear in free Shelter exhibition

Hard-Fi, Kaiser Chiefs and Richard Ashcroft are among a host of musicians starring in a new photographic exhibition.

The bands, along with Jarvis Cocker and Fightstar have been pictured sitting down by homless charity Shelter to raise awareness of the fact that over a million British children dwell in bad housing.

The shots of the stars and other celebrities, plus 5000 pictures from members of the public, will appear in a free exhibition taking place at The Gallery @OXO on London’s South Bank from March 29 until April 2.

All the shots feature the subjects sitting in Shelter’s distinct red chair.

Speaking about the campaign Richard Ashcroft explained: “Over one million children in this country face a bleak future trapped in overcrowded, unfit or emergency housing which is wrecking their lives. A safe, secure home is just a distant dream for them.”

Exhibition goers will be able to join the campaign by having their picture taken in the red chair as well.
