HEAR’SAY EGGED OFF

A UK newspaper claims the attack at Cardiff International Arena took place earlier this week...

An alleged egg attack on HEAR’SAY at a concert in WALES was premeditated, according to local student leaders.

According to this morning’s The Sun newspaper (June 23), Hear’say were forced to leave the stage after being pelted with eggs and plastic glasses when they performed live in front of 4000 students at the University organised event at the Cardiff International Arena earlier in the week.

Cardiff University Student Union president Steve Young said: “I’m disappointed this happened. It was clearly planned – you just don’t carry eggs around for the hell of it…we had to appeal to the audience to calm down and stop hurling things.”

A UK spokesperson for the band was unavailable to confirm the report to NME.COM this morning.

Hear’say‘s new single, ‘The Way To Your Love’, is released on Monday (June 25).
