The proposed appearance at Bluewater in Kent has been cancelled due to safety fears...
HEAR’SAY had to cancel their live appearance at the massive BLUEWATER shopping mall in KENT – because it’s too small.
The ‘Popstars’ TV series band were due to launch their debut album on Monday (March 26) at the mall’s WH Smith outlet. But it was cancelled after mall managers told record label Polydor they believed the complex wouldn’t be able to cope with the thousands of fans expected.
The group’s debut single, ‘Pure And Simple’, hit Number One on Sunday (March 18), after selling nearly 550,000 copies in its first week.
The decision to cancel the appearance comes after the death of four fans crushed by a hysterical crowd in the Indonesian capital Jakarta during an appearance by boyband a1 on Sunday (March 18).
Hear’say recently held a record signing at Woolworths in Milton Keynes, when 500 fans were expected but over 2,000 turned up.
