Here’s how Donald Trump reacted to Kendrick Lamar’s performance at a college football game

Is Trump a fan of King K?

Donald Trump was in attendance at the College Football National Championship game last night, the very same event where Kendrick Lamar was drafted in to headline the half time show.

But while all eyes were on Trump to see how he would react to Kendrick’s politically charged performances, it seems that the US President didn’t stick around long enough to witness it.

After singing the National Anthem and watching the first half of the match between Alabama and Georgia, Trump reportedly boarded Air Force One before Kendrick took to the stage.

During the performance, Kendrick chose not to address Trump and instead performed a set that included the likes of ‘DNA.’, ‘ELEMENT’ and ‘King Kunta’.

Despite not sticking around to watch Kendrick, Trump still made headlines for the wrong reasons after it was claimed that he didn’t know the lyrics to Star Spangled Banner.

Video footage shows Trump confidently mouthing ‘Oh, say can you see, by the dawn’s early light’, but he appears to get slightly confused with the line ‘at the twilight’s last gleaming?’, before things go a bit downhill.

Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar’s lyrical capabilities were recently questioned by Lupe Fiasco, who compared him to rapper Logic.

“I’ll put it to you like this. K. Dot is not a top tier lyricist to me and my standards when it comes to punchlines and bars,” Fiasco wrote in a series of since deleted tweets.

“His overall lyrics are good, his stories phenomenal, but punchline entendre lyrically I don’t see it.”
