PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS.
Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have released the music video for new single ‘She Taught Me How To Fly’. Check it out below exclusively on NME.com.
The psychedelic clip sees Gallagher taking centre stage as he performs the anthem by himself, with the action interspersed by a series of increasingly surreal silhouettes.
The song is the third single to be released from ‘Who Built The Moon’, the third album from the former Oasis guitarist – released in November last year.
Upon release, the record debuted at Number 1 – making it a hat trick of Number 1 solo records following 2011’s eponymous album and 2015’s ‘Chasing Yesterday’.
In a glowing four-star review of the record, NME described it as Noel’s best effort since Oasis’ (What’s The Story) Morning Glory.
“Bar the turgid swamp blues of ‘Be Careful What You Wish For’, it’s Noel’s freewheeling solo freedom and return-to-mega-form song-writing that makes this amongst the albums of the year. Noel shoots for ‘…The Moon’, and strikes bullseye”, our official verdict stated.
He’ll also head out on the road later this month – beginning his UK tour at the Brighton Centre on April 22, before eventually wrapping things up with a show at Dublin’s 3Arena on May 10.
Noel also recently discussed the shows in a Beats1 interview with Metallica’s Lars Ulrich, and described his decision to still play Oasis songs during gigs.
“The only conscious thing that I would do, because those songs are part of people’s lives particularly in England, I wouldn’t have Charlotte [Marionneau] play the scissors on an Oasis song…I’m aware of what those songs mean to people’, he admitted.
