Band want to step away from conventional album releases

Hot Chip have indicated that they want to follow in the footsteps of Radiohead in the future, shunning conventional album release schedules by releasing music as and when it is completed.

Speaking to Uncut magazine, Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard suggested that he didn’t want to be under pressure to record studio albums in the future.

“We’re incessantly producing new music,” he said. “That’s partly because I’m terrified of having to go to a farmhouse in Wales for two weeks with no ideas and be forced to jam until we’ve made an album.”

The band release new album ‘Made In The Dark’ in February.
