DURY REMEMBERED

Strummer and others dedicate this year's Poetry Olympics Party to the memory of the former Blockhead...

Ian Dury will be remembered by Joe Strummer, JOHN HEGLEY, 70’s punk-poet JOHN COOPER CLARKE and a host of others at the London Royal Festival Hall on April 4.

This year’s POP (the Poetry Olympics Party) will be dedicated to Dury‘s memory following the legendary artist’s death this week from cancer. He had been due to headline the event.

It is the 20th year POP has been held. As in previous years, the evening of spoken word and performance features an eclectic bunch of guests from across both music and literature.
