Lenny Kaye helps the Scots rockers construct the follow-up to '100 Broken Windows'...
IDLEWILD are to record their new album in NEW YORK with PATTI SMITH guitarist LENNY KAYE.
The Edinburgh four-piece, who have just completed their second US tour this year, supporting Placebo, began working on the follow up to last year’s Top 20 album ‘100 Broken Windows’ with producer Stephen Street in the UK earlier this year. The sessions will continue at Magic Studios in New York.
They have an instore gig lined up next Wednesday (June 6) at Virgin Megastore in New York Union Square and appear on the Conan O’Brien show the following day.
Further US dates are planned for July, and the band have three festival appearances lined up in the UK in August, at V2001 in Stafford on August 18 and Chelmsford on 19, and headlining the second stage at Glasgow Gig On The Green on August 26.
