Idlewild are to play a free show at EDINBURGH HMV on April 9, on the eve of their new album ‘100 BROKEN WINDOWS’, which is released on April 10 through Food/Parlophone.
The band will play a 20 minute set at 11.30pm, premiering material from their new album. The HMV store will then open at midnight on April 10, to give fans chance to buy the album, and get their records autographed by the band.
Tickets are limited to 300 for the show, and they will be available via a competition on Idlewild‘s official website, [url=]www.idlewild.co.uk, and from the HMV store on Princess Street in Edinburgh.
In addition, Idlewild are also scheduled to play a live session for the Radio 1 show ‘Lamaq Live’ from the BBC Studios in Maida Vale, London. Fans can also win tickets to this performance, where the band will play a 45 minute set, by logging onto the band’s website and answering the questions.
As previously announced on nme.com, Idlewild are currently on a UK tour, with remaining dates at Leeds Met University tomorrow (March 30), and then Sheffield University (31), Nottingham Rock City (April 1), Bristol Anson Rooms (4), Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall (5), Northampton Roadmenders (6), Brighton ConcordeII (11) and London Kentish Town Forum (12).
