Sam Fogarino falls ill during a show in Italy...
Interpol drummer SAM FOGARINO has been hospitalised in Italy after becoming unwell during a gig.
The group were playing at the Bologna Estragon club (April 16), when shortly into the band’s set, Fogarino lost the feeling in his arm.
A spokesperson for the band explained: “Sam had been feeling poorly for the past couple of days with pretty bad flu. He left the stage shaking but duly tried to continue the set. After a few more songs he simply couldn’t even hold the drumsticks. The band had to stop playing and Sam was rushed to hospital. After some X-rays he was told that he had a stressed nerve in his arm.”
The show has been rescheduled for April 18, and Fogarino is currently resting. Interpol will play this year’s Glastonbury and Reading And Leeds: Carling Weekend festivals.
