OAP couple get revenge on noisy neighbour by playing Iron Maiden until 4am

The Swedish pensioners were arrested for harassment following the incident

An elderly couple from Stockholm were arrested after reportedly playing Iron Maiden songs at full volume as they attempted to get revenge on their neighbours.

According to reports in Sweden, the 71-year-old woman and her 81-year-old husband had engaged in a battle of noise with their neighbours after complaining about a constant “whistling sound” coming from next door. The Local reports that the couple set up two speakers, one in their basement and one on a balcony, and continued to play songs by the British metal band at high volume until police were alerted.

The neighbour reportedly “broke down” and called the police after being kept up until 4am. Police arrived at the home of the OAP couple to discover Iron Maiden’s ‘Afraid To Shoot Strangers’ being played at “top volume”, and subsequently charged the couple with harassment. “The harassment has just carried on, I am completely broken down. How can I keep living here?” the neighbour said in police interviews. Meanwhile, the 81-year-old man arrested reportedly said: “We wanted to give a taste of their own medicine.”
